Can anyone tell me what the closest flatwater spots are around Pacific City? I'm visiting for Thanksgiving weekend, and am planning to bring my gear. If anyone is willing to be a tour guide, that would be cool also.
I'd love to go in the surf as well, just not sure if the wind/wave situation will be favorable.

Okay, saw all the other threads. What is the "best" launch spot? |

If you found the thread with the map, it's probably the only one listed. Take the road back from the art gallery off 101, then park in the beach access area. Puts you right in the center of the bay. And be sure to watch the tides. Generally this time of year you've got a south wind, so anything incoming works perfect. Figure the bay is almost completely filled in, butter when you get between 4-6ft.
This is what you'll have at low tide!

| it's been full even at low tide... you get a few feet of beach to rig on.... that's about it. |

Really? That's crazy! Brett would know! He's been there a lot more than I this past year. |
