I'm in the planning stage of a trip come late summer next year, got the will, got the way. Just looking for advice on kite areas to hit along my quest. I have a 12m waroo, a 14m contra, and soon a 7-9 m kite. My abilities are strong, and confidence as well.
I've heard that the columbia river is definitely a spot to hit. What time of year is the columbia river consistently windy? i.e. 10-30? Any local knowledge of which areas to kite would be appreciated.
I will be traveling from seattle to columbia river most likely and then south through oregon to cali, cut back through nevada to utah. then to wyoming . montana. idaho. and back to seattle.
Any places that any one has gone in these states would be helpful to know. Again i will be traveling through late summer through early fall.
Thank you. |

Sounds like a fun trip. Summer is a great time for the gorge. Most people are really nice so dont be scared to ask questions from locals when you get here.
The current is strong the wind is gusty so be prepared for that. Depending on when you coming you might want a shorty or if you come early summer maybe a full suit.
Look at the Spots link above has alot of good information. _________________ Join the CGKA! Membership is only $10! Sign up at http://cgka.net/become-a-member/ |
