I was camped out on the south jetty in florance in the late 80s when three or four ultra light airplanes came strugling up the beach into a strong nw wind. We waved at them and flapped are arms( they were about 40 ft in the air and makeing about 10 mph of ground speed). The next day we herd that they had crashed and one of them died. I guess they came up from Coosbay were not local and did not know the nw wind came up in the afternoon and they ran out of gas. Anyway carefull with little planes on the southcoast.

As long as you make it all the way to the beach. SCL's dad rode this one down (he owned it with myself and another guy). Fortunately he crawled away from it, but his ankle is pretty gelatanous-besides a broken rib, bruised lung and fractured scapula. A bolt holding the aileron cable to the stick broke at low altitude while attempting to climb out over Cape Blanco.

By the way, anyone looking for a Rotax??
