OK, so after all of this discussion about the Waroo's QR maybe not being the easiest to pull in a dire situation, if I wanted to change out the chicky and QR on my Waroo to say a Cabrinha mushroom pull-away, is this possible? Has anyone done it? If so, how?

I'd upgrade to the newer best chicken loop assembly (as suggested in the other thread) or if you want a different release just get a different bar altogether. Your safety gear is not something you want to take a hack at unless you know what you are doing.

Agreed that I am not anxious to hack away and am not penny pinching; would purchase a new bar if that's what it took. Question is, if I went with the Cabrinha bar, would it be compatible with the Waroos? Anyone know?

Take a look at the Slingshot surefire spreader - it'll give you a backup to the QR on whatever C-loop you use. Though i always fire the spreader release rather the C-loop release - same release no matter what bar/kite i'm on and quick and simple to reset
