ah, you noticed the ultra smooth butter....that only the ocean winds can provide. There is a reason why i prefer southern oregon. Wink

damn! i didn't think water conditions like that actually existed. is this floras lake?

don't worry, i don't plan to invade but, would like to make at least one trip down there next year.

That is Floras Lake. Head down when we have a nice high pressure ridge sitting on top of us. When the conditions are good and you get enough of the lake water up your nose, you can do tricks like pros!

thanks forest. i have heard for years now that floras was a great place to kite but, never could really get myself up for the four hour drive.

sol-flyer, did you land this one?

floras lake is nice but gets a lil tight in mud-summer. Best time of day is morning, before the gusts and the crowds. The slider park is small, but going to be a lot bigger next year.....hit the waves and take a dip back in fresh water, its nice!

I pretty much exploded on impact, the loop was bigger than anticipated and sent me a lil further/higher than expected. But i did get the kite fully around and landed with good form Wink after this attempt i took it a lil slower,with a faster loop and got it right every time.
