...DANGEROUS SURF CONDITIONS EXPECTED SATURDAY..
A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WATERS WILL GENERATE LARGE SEAS OFFSHORE. WINDS WILL PUSH THESE LARGE WAVES TOWARD THE REDWOOD COAST...SENDING 20 FOOT WESTERLY SWELLS ONSHORE BY DAYBREAK SATURDAY. THIS WILL PRODUCE BREAKERS IN THE SURF ZONE IN EXCESS OF 25 FEET MUCH OF THE DAY SATURDAY
AND A HIGH SURF ADVISORY WILL LIKELY BE NEEDED.
HIGH TIDES WILL OCCUR AROUND 800 AM SATURDAY MORNING...AND AGAIN AT 700 PM SATURDAY EVENING. THESE ARE TIMES WHEN WATER WILL RUN HIGH UP ONTO THE SAND...FULLY CAPABLE OF KNOCKING AN INDIVIDUAL OFF THEIR FEET INTO FRIGID AND TURBULENT WATERS. LARGE SURF CAN ALSO HURL DANGEROUS DEBRIS ONTO THE BEACH. JETTIES WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS AS WAVE OVERWASH OCCURS. PLEASE STAY TUNED TO MEDIA OR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR THE LATEST IMPACT INFORMATION.

I hope it holds and isn’t too wet!
I’m staying near Lincoln City for the next couple of days so I can give an on-site report tomorrow. Maybe see you guys at the bay?? ~D
Lincoln City Forecast:
Saturday: Periods of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11am, then showers likely. High near 57. Windy, with a west wind 27 to 30 mph decreasing to between 18 and 21 mph. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. West southwest wind 13 to 18 mph becoming south southeast. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph.

Hmmm, that sounds like it could be fun! Hope it stays west, though I don't think the bay will be filled in the entire time. Oh well.

| actually, that tide chart is positive... low tide at +3 means that the bay will have more water in it...
