Even though I WAS going to send my kite to airtime, after careful cost calculations and budget analysis, the DIY plans posted here started looking REAL good.
So, following the steps provided..
1. Jo-ann fabrics for needle ($2.29), thread ($5.29 300m), and Safeway for misc supplies ($NA).
2. After wife offers to show me a stitch that would be hidden after repair complete, recruit wife to actually DO repair!
3. Inflate kite and admire while partaking of many misc supplies.
Total cost: way f****n' less of my $ and time!
Plus I have materials for the next time something needs fixin.
Thanks for all the valuable tips
