Just saw this little 5 ft squatty body at GP. Looks like it would be a fun cheap option for riding strapless on small mushy crap wash days at the coast. Plus you could beat the sh*t out of it. $199 on closeout, GP Bob has 3 of them.

That thing does look like fun - I did just pickup a used 6'6" Shuler board at Cleanline in Seaside for $200 was thinking it would fun to try surfing before the wind came up and would be a great lightwind weapon.
The surfing experiment didn't go so well - will need about 100 more attempts or maybe a 7'6"

John, Shulers usually ride pretty small for their size but still.........shortboards are tough to master man. I need an upper 7ft wide body just to get to my concrete feet in smaller surf.....the rest of the ride is usually brief follwed by alot of tumbling. I wish I spent more time practicing surfing, it's the greatest sport in the world.
