I know that we are not supposed to talk about specific brands, but I want to really bad.

Who out there in cyberspace wants to evaluate their choice of kite? If you do then I have a great idea:

Let's meet and fly each others kites. Ok, so you are scared to let a stranger take your kite for a cruise, but how else will you know if it is worth the cash you paid for it?

Anybody interested in doing a comparison of kites without any industry present. I am.

If you have an 07 or 08 kite and want to meet and evaluate then let's do it.
Very Happy

Ron,
A little birdie told me that you sold your 11m T2. What are you going to replace it with?

I wouldn't mind trying some 08 North kites again, I didn't get a chance to try the relaunch in the nukin Rufus wind. They have a nice thin bar. If anyone with 07 or 08 North Kites wants to try some cool Revs let me know.

I like the t2's for sure. They are stable and fit my style of riding. I've never flown best, north, or anything else but slingshot.
I'm really interested in demoing:

Rev
North
Best
TD
and
Mort

I want to fly each of them enough to know what they are good at.

The thing I want to do is evaluate kites in a way that is more objective and less industry hype.

Anybody got any ideas?

talk with the shops about their next demo days. they had a bunch this season but I guess you missed them?

talk with pepi at 2nd wind for slingshot
I believe New Wind has the new best kites available
North just had their kites at Rufus
Liquid force just had a big demo at the coast, i'm sure Tekko can hook you up with their kite as well which you should put on your list of demo's to try.

see sticky for cgka end of summer event sept 29th

If you have friends that trust you with their gear and vice versa then demos are easy. I always let folks I know are good riders take my gear out, but if you don't really know somebody that’s a tough commitment to make.

If you can't hook up a budy demo, getting in contact with the reps should be pretty easy, but better act quick the season is winding down for sure.

Reps by brand alphabetically:

newwindkiteschool / Best
Luke / Cabrinha
Tekko / Liquid Force
Mark / Naish
Yardsale / North
Shymac / Slingshot

And like Shay mentioned demo day next Saturday at the spit, should be a great opportunity to try out some new gear.
