Just wondering when the elections are going to take place. If I remember right we said we would have them a whole ago. I think issues like handouts and safety are great off season projects that need to start soon. Lets get some leaders into the the positions we created. Adam, Jim and Shay did a nice job this summer, but I know there are others interested in leading.

The CGKA really needs some more active participants on the BOD to help this organization truly live up to its potential.
Current membes, log in and make some nominations and we will jumpstart this process.

As a CGKA member, I have logged onto the CGKA website and added my nomination vote as to who I feel would be a good addition to the BOD. This voting method is completely hidden and unknown to the group so I find it difficult to understand the process.
I suppose it may be challenging for some to select an individual to participate on the board due to not knowing who is running, qualified, or even who the candidates are. Unless those candidates come forward and promote themselves to reach the voting audience, it will be difficult to decide.
Will CGKA be showing the community the list of nominees or just tally the votes and share with us the winning individuals?

actually i had planned on emailing all the people who got nominated and asking them if they accept their nominations. Then i was going to send out a mass email to everyone that would be an e-ballot and have everybody send their e-ballots to admin [at] cgka.net. hopefully that will work for everyone?
also, if anyone wants to nominate anybody in the next week or so, please do so via the website or just email the nomination to admin[at]cgka.net.
I'll send the people who were nominated thus far an email tomorrow. Time to go kite!
