Mon Sep 10, 07 6:54 pm Reed Island Easterlies... (edit) No wind! Rooster now! |
|
|
I started up to Rooster in the boat today, but stopped at Reed Island. 11m for me from 11 to 3... Big, level beach. The water was flatter than the ponds at rooster were on Saturday, especially leeward of the beach. The beach is a LOT bigger than this picture... This is a really great place to ride! The wind is lighter than Rooster. If you head here and the wind is not great, continue upriver to Rooster!
I'm going to head here again tomorrow. Anyone want to go? I can take two other people, but if you've got a bout or jet-ski we can do the flotilla thing!
I'm planning on leaving Camas boat launch 10:30 or 11:00 and returning to the launch at 3:30.

| Just checked the forecast, Troutdale is looking like light Westerlies tomorrow... May have to continue past Reed island and head up to Rooster. Whatever the winds dictate when we get there...

Yeah I just saw the forecast, it looks like crap now for tomorrow...
I was going to get up early and head out, but I think it isn't going to go now.

Stevenson is E@16 this morning, Corbett is 8G11... I'm guessing/hoping Rooster is E@15 or so. Anyways, looks like the wind will shutoff early, so I'm planning to be in the boat at about 8:30 and head to the east end of Rooster. Anybody that wants a lift PM me with a phone number by 8:00.
