Do piranha act like sharks and pretty much ignore you 99/100 times or do they try to kill everything they see?

My gf's bro has 7 piranhas... Got them about a month and a half ago when they were a little bigger than a quarter (maybe 1-1.5" overall)... Now they're 3-4" long!
And do they act like sharks? Not when they're hungry. We let them destroy a ~1.5" feeder fish, and they took it out in ~5 seconds. Completely gone!  |

At the Santa Barbara Zoo there was a piranha that was about the same length as this one but it had a much "taller" body (from dorsal to ventral fins). This looks too narrow to be a piranha but I have no clue what it could be. _________________ It's always happy hour somewhere in the world. |
