Saturday was an incredible day/ night! Sooo many kites, sails, and barges on the River, and we definitely rockd out River City. Hip Hop in da Hood!
So, we now know who won, who raised the most money, and so on...
But, can anyone post a list of say how many people actually started the race, how many people finished, and how many laps everyone kited, ect.
Just curious how many miles I actually went.
Any more photos/ videos coming?

Someone said on another thread THE BEST DAY OF MY ENTIRE SUMMER '07!!
I knew almost nobody in this community, but it was so great out there with 75 (?!) other smiling faces all day long. I was #9 so I made it from about 11:10 straight through to 5:15. But I couldn't have done any better than about 4 rounds per hour, if that.
That was pretty tricky how you planners put the up-wind mark in the wind shadow of Wells Island. One of my attempts took about 6 tries to get around cause the wind was DEAD up there. An one of my passes through the Event Site buoy... I was body dragging. Sad
I did ask myself why keep going, because I saw Phil and Cory lapping me, but I thought that I heard the loudspeaker guy say: "KEEP GOING, THERE'S AN EXTRA $5 DOLLAR DONATION FOR EVERY COMPLETED LAP"
If that's not so... we should find a corporate sponsor next year to sweeten it up some more.
THANK YOU EVERYONE! I've been stoned high on vibes since Saturday, almost can't feel the aching muscles.
