Curious.....has anyone kited on bachelor, above the tree line?
Heard some rumors that it might be possible...land is owned by the forest service and people paraglide off all the time
I didn't see anyone last season (logged 60+ days)
seems like the bottom of the bowl could be interesting, and at times have consistent enough wind |

| It would depend on wind direction, and where exactly on Mt. Bachelor you are talking about. I would think that it would have to be on the southern sides as the Forest Service would probably hand out a large ticket for kiting near any ski runs. We are looking to get some people together to get some snowmobiles and start exploring the surrounding plateaus like Broken Top and Tam McCarthur Rim, as well as places south of here. I have heard that Crater Lake and Great Meadow are the best, but I am sure there are many other spots, so save my number or pm me and we will make it happen this winter. In the meantime, let's make the most of our water time and warm weather. |
