Down here in Oahu right now for the Liquid Force 2008 catalgue shoot with the team and all the new 2008 products.

Big Island was getting it 20+ feet today.. windy and sunny here on Oahu just starting to feel the outer bands coming in. Couple people riding, but a bit all over the place and unorganized.

We may be in for some great swell and conditions for the next few days.

Team boys are killing it and the 2008 kites, boards and Project Rawson surfboards are some of the best gear I've ever seen or flown... 2008 is going to be a GREAT year!!!

Hope we get some photos Tekko!

Hey and thanks for the 08 Havoc demos, we had a lot of fun on them this weekend. The good stuff:

- Very simple and clean bar, sheeting below the bar that's very easy to use
- Also nice that you can clip into the depower rope and have it bypass the stopper if you let go of the bar unhooked
- Very light bar pressure, I didn't even use the stopper most the time because of it
- The kite has a C kite like feel unhooked, so it makes loading up for unhooked tricks very easy
- The bridle on the kite only uses one pulley, its simple and short and looks like it wouldn't tangle easily
- One pump system is very clean
- Solid booster, the people who tried it all thought it boosted big

All in all a great kite. Combines C kite like feel with SLE depower. Very nice.

Now lets see how she does in those Hurricane sized waves. Very Happy

Flossie was a big bust here on Maui. The Big Island basically broke the storm and it fizzled into nothing. All the swell we got was a mish mash of crap, and the wind was just gusty yucky.

Need this pesky batch of clouds to now get outta here and get back to trades. Hopefully REAL waves will show up in a month or so... All good on the Rock, and I would not ride a c-kite to save my life after having been on the Helix and Cults for the last five months...

Adios, Bam

That Maui water is softening you up bammer... I thought we were going to pry those C kites from your cold dead hands! Wink

Pkh,

Not the water, its the monster gusts that hit like mack trucks... I was actually out on a 10m Torch yesterday and a surfy board on a swell hunt. Did not find any swell, but found a few gusts that about ripped my butt over to Molokai. Then Damien comes flying past on a Helix with a stupid shit eating grin in perfect control...

Hmmm, definitely chose badly and was wishing I had chosen to rig the Helix instead. Hey Phillip, go retest that kite. Mark was using an 07 bar which was causing massive oversheeting... He has the problem fixed now!

I did test it again yesterday at Stevenson after the fixed bar... it is a great kite and it does have great gust eating abilities! Thumb's Up

Really appreciate the opportunity to try out the 08 stuff, its a lot of fun.
