anyone know if there is any kiting there? I'm thinking october is going to be pretty light, but will be spending time with parents. Is it worth bring my gear?

sure no prob!
I think my dad said it was windy, but i don't remember if he was talking about punta cana. Plus he's not a kiter/sailor so its hard to tell even if he said it was windy. |

guys, the season over in Punta Cana is normally after Xmas thru March in the 10-18mph range, sometimes up to 25. October can be rainy. That being said, the best wind is usually up by the Club Med.
I lived there for 3 years and we really wanted to open a 2nd kite school location there because of all the tourists but the wind was too unreliable year round. I did however meet with windsurf instructor who worked at the Club Med in Bavaro, by Punta Cana, and he swears the place has wind from around mid-Dec through March.... _________________ Marina
