Wind on the beach and wind on the water are never the same.

In the gorge, you can bet on 20% stronger in the channel than on the beach, land adds friction and blocks.

It is also a measurement of history not the future. Pay more attention to the local area forecasts.

when I go ride,
I always just pump up the same kite.
and then I tell the wind how much to blow.
If it doesn't listen, I go home and bitch about it.
