I am coming to HR next Sunday(7/22) for 5 days and it looks like it is going to be on the warm side. I noticed there have been some pretty hot days this summer. Has the wind come up out of the west late on these days or just stayed east? Need to bring a bigger kite? Any launches better on these days?-I don't think the coast is going to be an option for me this trip. Thanks.

Bruce,

It may be warm sometimes but its a dry heat. Unless the wind shuts down completely it'll Feel nice. Water in the upper 60's air in the 80's.

If it gets really hot and kills the wind, there's always mt. Hood to camp and or cool off.

FOrecast doesn't look hot tho'

Also, rooster rock is a good place if it goes east.

Wind looks like its back on from the west:

If there isn't a heat wave in Portland then we have wind.

The pressure gradient usually tells you where it's windiest.

Kite sizes, the biggest I'm bringing is a 12m; also taking a 9m and 7m. The wind is either totally on or totally off.

Hopefully we'll score some killer wind!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
