Fri Jul 13, 07 11:00 am Local dealer for Mystic Firestarter? |
|
|
| Any dealer carries firestarter locally? I have visitors coming to kite around Portland. They hoped to buy a few things, including this harness locally. Any pdx, HR or coast stores you know off? |

i know it probably doesn't help much but there is a local shop up here in Seattle and they keep a pretty good inventory of Mystic products.

There are always seattle riders heading to the gorge so it is pretty quick to get gear down there if needed. Sorry if this comes across like a commercial promotion.

Firestarters....? Doesn't the firestarter have issues w/ regards to the attachment on the strap - which keeps the bar from riding up...
Looks like a bad design when I seen it, and several people noted that the point of attachment, would tear up (even after just a snug fit)....
This specific design on the warrior is different...
I currently ride w/ the warrior and I consider it a really good harness - which seems to work for me... |

This seems to be DaKine country around here. However, I am also really surprised that no local dealers carry the Mystic harnesses. They are, by far, the best kiteboarding harnesses. I got my Warrior here: www.live2kite.com
They can get it shipped to you quickly. |

I know, I am very happy with my Nitrous. Is there any DaKine harness that could be a substitute for mystic? |

| The Pyro would probably be closest in price/design/style, but not in my opinion, far from the Warrior in overall performance. I rode Tucker's Pyro for one day and hated it. Our '02 Dakine Tabu's even feel nicer... |

| Yeah, my firestarter tore and the lease attachment that holds the spreader bar down, but they are sending me a new one. Service is top notch and the harness fits amazing. |
