no fast track for rib recovery. No activity where you are winded and breating heavy for sure. It took me monthes two winters ago. no kiting for a bit at least with your chest harness.
sorry bud. hope those loops are satisfyin'
that will keep the new board from breakin' for a bit at least.
maybe you will have to work more Last edited by registered on Tue Jul 10, 07 5:01 am; edited 1 time in total |

I'm on the mend already. Went to the doc yesterday, no real damage done. |

Yeah Hein!!
HA
Good stuff...so true.
Kiteloops have become the mainstream code for 'I can kite'......but I am with you. It's all about the ride, not just a kite flying daredevil sport.
No harness...hmmm...maybe just a leash?
Could work.
When I worked for Liquid Force I got letters weekly from people who were snapping knees, ankles and shoulders.
I knew a guy who landed a kiteloop so wrong that his tibula snapped in half, punctured through his calf muscle to the board, and stuck in his board. And he was in San Carlos Mexico....many miles from a hopital.
Crazy stuff.
I was 'over it' after that. |

For me it's a fundamental difference in what the kite does for me. I spent a long time looking at boats. I wanted a wake board boat pretty damn bad. I spent a lot of time thinking about the commitment of purchasing one, putting gas in it all the time, buying a truck to haul the thing around, maintenance, blah blah blah...
In the end, I just wanted something to pull me around on the water. I found kiteboarding after googling for wake board alternatives.
Kiteloops are fun, and I've only done a few, but I'm not really interested as originally I just wanted something that would pull me along so I could wake board and wake skate. I feel the same way about jumping, its fun but I'm just not that interested. |

Big powered Kiteloops are still gnar gnar... especially the big-un Ruben ones. Nothing gets me stoked quite like what he throws.
People get hurt doing this stuff, that's what makes it sweet when people pull it off smooth.
Wakestyle can get you hurt too, water tensions up quite a bit at those speeds and all the laid out style leaves you wide open for some big belly flops and back slappers. Waves mess you up too.
Got to feel risk for reward.
Anyway hope to see you back out there soon Shay... |
