Headin' east for the week-end to get the best wind. Any suggestions for good camping and ridin? Maryhill would be o.k., but I'm looking for something new. I've heard of a good spot east of Maryhill with camping that has a grassy area for set-up, but I can't seem to find reference to it anywhere. Thanks -C

You seriously don't know, or couldn't find Roosevelt? Go east on 14 for about 50 miles. Or got to Biggs and cross the Maryhill bridge, then east on 14. There is a free launch with grassy rigging and free camping. Have fun in the best wind in the Gorge.

Scriffler - thanks - I've heard plenty about it, just didn't put the 2 together. I saw some posts about saftey issues with the launch here earlier this year - anything I should know before ridin here? Which sensor shows most accurate wind for this area -Arlington? Thanks -C

If you're going East, go all the way; Middle East. I'm thinkin' you fill the courtyard off the Dome of the Rock, waite for wind, then pop a wicked railslide off the side of the structure...but don't go inside with your boardshorts over your wetsuit because that would be sacrilege.
Here's a photo so you can size 'er up:
