Hey i am camping up towards lyle and i want to know the best way to get there form portland and where exactly it is. any help would be sweet. I figure i have been to the coast, i have been to the spit.... so i want somewhere different and it was lyle or stevenson. lyle was first stevenson will be next. thanks

Cross the bridge to Washington from Hood River, turn right, head east through Bingen, continue about 14 miles until you see the first signs for the town of Lyle. Before entering town or crossing a small bridge you'll see on the left "canyon road". You can park in a larger lot on your left, or the 3-4 spaces on your right. You'll see your trail/dirt road to the spit on the right. (see map) Don't block the access road to the RR tracks.
