I actually think the dog situation was great this weekend! I saw some dogs running around, but their owners were certainly watching them... and I didn't *see* anyone get bitten. I even took a [strange] dog off his leash and played with him for a while in the middle of the spit (away from the kites).
I think that's all we were asking...we don't want to ban dogs, just ask for control! Nice work dog owners! (and all the dogs!) |

Yes, the poop bags and garbage can are courtesy of Arla's proactiveness. She deserves a big hand...
Instead of bitching about the 12 piles of poop she saw the other day in the parking lot, she DROVE OVER TO THE PORT AND GOT THE BAGS DELIVERED AND THE GARBAGE CAN BROUGHT OVER. Sweet!
This is a good lesson for all of us. Quitcher bitchin and go do something positive about a situation you see needs fixing.
FYI: I bought and put up the CGKA/safety bulletin board below the safety sign w/ my own money because I wanted to get it done.
Please do not use it for personal posts... as I kindly wrote on it.
Email CGKA or the Port or go into the Port and ask if they'll put up more posts for bulletin boards, etc.
Apparently, the way were are going to get things done is to step up and do them ourselves (e.g. kite community and CGKA).
