I am thinking about getting a pair of these for a friend. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? I realize that binoculars are hard to hold still enough to shoot a picture, but I would think with a mono-pod, it might work well.

Amazon reviews seem to be favorable.

I read enough positive reviews and talked to shop owners... I went ahead and bought it. The 'new' version isn't released yet, and won't be available until towards the end of july. I'll post a review once it's here.
