They make both plastic and composite products.
I'm quite sure their ABS plastic helmets are as good as any plastic helmet out there (eg Gath, ProTec). The bad news is that one of the finish options on these is "Carbon Blue" which makes it *look* like a fiber reinforced helmet.
It's not.
Just know what you are buying. Shop guys may or may not know the difference.....

Hey this is good info to get, and super important to know. Where did yo get the info? I mean they guys seems nice there and all, but I get worried when companies misrepresenting themselves. I have recommended their helmets to a lot of people and I know several of my friends have gotten them...which makes it pretty bad in my book.
For instance, you can't call your helmet Carbon blue, and then make it out of plastic
So I guess you recommend carbon based helmets? Do you know if the shredready carbon are any good? I mean as far as the CE certification goes, I've read it isn't worth anything so we have to fingure out all this on our own.

Check out this protec helmet. It is based on a Navy Seal design that drains really well, but also provides significant protection. Super light weight for the protection and I believe the ear pads are removable. I spent a significant amount of time in this and in the water - nice fit and comfortable
Gotta keep the head safe.
