Spending the day kitesurfing with a 24 year old woman professional kite surfer from Brazil.
FREE Father's Day Clinic with pro kite surfer and instructor, Clarissa Hempel.
When: Sunday, June 17, 2 - 5pm
Where: Hood River Sandspit, meet at Gorge Kite's Red Surf Shack.
What: Come out and ride with Cabrinha athlete, Clarissa Hempel. Learn tips on toe-side riding, riding up-wind, jumping, swell riding, and freestyle.
Who: Men and Women of all kiting abilities wanting to ride with confidence in all conditions, have fun learning new skills, and partying Brazilian style. Please BYO.
How much: FREE. We will be collecting donations for KB4C (Kiteboarding for Cancer).
Equipment: Bring your own. Cabrinha will have demo kites and boards available for you to try out.

Clarissa Hempel is a 24 year-old kiteboarder from Sao Paulo, Brazil. She has traveled from Brazil to New Zealand, and some of the Pacific Islands (such as Samoa, Tonga and Fiji), and all over the US from California to Florida. She won the 2006 Brazil World Tour Boardercross. Currently she is instructing, photographing and riding for Cabrinha. Her kiting skills are spins, grabs, kite loops, big airs with kite loops, and she is not afraid of big waves! Which is her passion. You might see her in the magazines or on kiting DVDs, or you can ride with her on the Hood River sandspit. She has been teaching kiteboarding for 3 years, and with her relaxed teaching style, students immediately feel comfortable and learn rapidly. Clarissa lives by her saying "laugh is my drug".
