Good AM, I'm wondering if anybody is going to be at Mosier today? Yesterday was looking good there but I didn't want to self launch in rocks. _________________ Hey, I'm being hahahahahrassed! |

I saw two kites out there yesterday and was wondering about the launch. It always seems like the wind is good there and the swell must be awesome. Anyone know where I can find more info about the launch? |

The launch sucks. If their are not a lot of windsurfers their is good room to set up. If their is more than 10 windsurfers it is to hard to set up. If you have someone to lunch you you can stand on the sand and they can go out on the rocky point but the wind is usually light and fluke do not bring the kite over head and get out as fast as you can. once you are 50ft from shore the wind cleans up. If you head up wind and to the Washington half of the river the wind is usually one full kite size stronger. This means if you are overpowered you can stay on the Oregon side. Just rember if you are underpowered on the Washington side you may have a hard time getting back. |
