I just thought people would have something better to talk about, if you want to spout off, then spout off about how awesome kiteboarding can be, or how cool the kiteboarding community can be. Hell, tell a funny story about the good old days getting spanked on old gear with maybe 3-4 other people at the beach.
Myself, I love the freakin rain. If I can't KB than nobody should KB !! |

I was out at Rufus yesterday and waited for an hour
for the wind to settle enough to try a 4m unhooked
on my surfboard in the swells.
I had a good time watching a few windsurfers disappear
in the swells from time to time and could actually
see dudes jumping way up at the Wall.
The wind backed so I went for it. No kiters around
so I self launched up by my car. No worries but
I had a line inside out. I've been doing that a lot
lately.
There was a friendly windsurfer nearby who caught
and held my kite while I fixed the line. Same guy
later caught my kite after I decided it was a little
crazy out there for my style.
Maybe is was Bulae. |

that sounds sick as hell Hein. Sounds like you could have been out on a trainer kite (though the lines would snap).
Good to hear that the windsurfers were supportive. We were launching from rowena last year and most of the windsurfers were cool although some were getting all poopy pants about us launching.
The only thing I ever said was "some people learn to share and actually enjoy it, others never do" |

Looks like bulae aka repooc99 aka Ron is spreading the love over on the iwindsurf forum.

For the record, he doesn't seem so bad to me...kind of like the Troll in the early days, probably just misunderstood.
