well shit, that didn't take long. Sad

5 minutes. LOL

Mr. Winger is the winner of a pair of worn out neoprene gloves (size medium).

So does anyone kite there? The current looked rather swift but if the wind was reasonable, it could be schweet.

it gets good very rarely i used to kite there but now that i can drive i would rather go just about anywhere else. the wind is extremely flukey. if i do ride there i normaly dont go to the pay to park area in your pictures, the free parking area closer into vancouver is angled better for the wind most times although it lacks the nice grass and requires some walking. woodland and kalama beat it hands down.

Could I trade-in the pair of worn out neoprene gloves for a jet ski rescue anywhere in the world at the press of the "shit's gone south button?"

Tried when I first started back in 2002, that was the first place I went...
On the right wind day it can work..but never tried it with a fast current, only late summer

Some people..... now you have your choice of two consolation prizes. A big ball of old, bleached out, tangled kite line (with sewn on leaders!) OR a broken slingshot grab handle.

I learned on an F-One foil with no depower and a 6'6" single skeg converted surfboard in the gorge in 2000. This ain't shared for braggin' rights...let's just say I had my ass handed to me regularly. I'm thinking I could use a Reel Bar to go with the 2000 setup. Have one of those lyin' around?!!

Oh yeah.. Well I learned to kiteboard behind an old ski boat with the throttle stuck wide open while balancing on a scrap of drywall with a cardboard fin in 1999.!!

Young wipper snappers .....

I had one of the first wooden burton perfomer snoboards. No bindings just a rubber gripper on back and a rope handle on front.
I also had one of the first skurfers (pre wakeboard term) a Skurfer Rage. I still have it and am planning on taking it kiting someday.

Mark
thanks now I feel old.... or maybe just ahead of my time Wink
