Dude its huge, even bigger than when they lowered water for the cleanup party. Too bad the ponds are high and dry.
If it holds through tomorrow maybe try a 2nd time to get those piles to burn?

I think we should start building condos on it and make it a kiting resort--who needs grass when we have a new state to settle

Propane torches might be a way to get the stuff to burn.

I actually have a bunch of small bars of Magnesium. This metal will burn even underwater. I would be happy to bring some down to the sandbar. You might need your sunglasses because it burns so bright!

thermite is great shtuff, but you actually need iron oxide, AKA rust and aluminum powder, and then we need magnesium strips to light it, which require a propane torch to light the magnesium.
old burn barrells are a great place to find rust, dont know about the aluminum powder tho, we had it in our science lab when we made thermite for an independant project back in highschool.
that is a sweet picture pkh.
i think it is spelled napalm, and that is actually a pretty good idea too, all we need is gasoline + styrofoam, mix the two together and you got some seriously long burning goopy shtuff that we could put on the wood. I think the best idea however is to pull all the stuff in to one big pile and let it dry and use as little diesal as possible to get it lit. try to be a little more environmentally friendly this time around.

Yea you're right about using rust... but you don't need anything really fancy to light it. A sparkler works perfect!
And as far as aluminum. Brench grinder + aluminum block + vacuum!
