				| go west on us 30 through clatskanie, 3 or 4 miles further look for brown recreation area sign Jones Beach right hand turning north. Korean American food place on your left. If you get to the turn off for the ferry or into westport you have missed the turning. Follow that little country road which winds a bit but takes you to Jones. A huge area of flatten sand. Turn left into a black top parking lot or if you have 4wd drive over the sand closer to the water to park. If you look on a map Jones is on the Oregon side immediately south of the East end of Puget island. | |

				| I learned to windsurf at Jones Beach in 1989 and as a result have a special affinity for it. But the good-old-days isn't the only reason I love it there...the wind can be super steady, as was the case yesterday (Sunday 8/7/05) in the channel. Great place. Enjoy.

				| have to second the love for jones...had my first water/beach body drag at Jones beach early last year. I had so much beach room to screw up that it didn't matter too much what went wrong.... even the current took care of getting my board back to the beach when I ended up losing it out in the channel. | |
