I'm heading up to Victoria, B.C. and hoping to steal a session or two on the Penninsula. North Beach & Cline Spit sound pretty cool from the SKA page, but its always better to hear some first hand local knowledge. What's the goods??

Cline goes off if its hot in seattle every mid afternoon to eve, blows out of the west. The launch that you drive to is an onshore launch with powerlines and barbed wire!! So..use those saftey skills. Better yet is to hike down from the road to the lwest lee of the spit were it is side shore and butter. Great spot with tons of wind.

forecast is really good, but in summer it often builds in the afternoon, so be patient. sometimes it waits till 5pm, but with a strong forecast, hopefully earlier. there are 3 main places, north beach, cline, and also ediz hook in port angeles. only kite north beach on an ebb, and it is very exposed and dangerous since it tempts you to ride far off the beach for more wind and sometimes, incredible swell.
cline is good except at high tide. ediz hook gets the same wind, but it's best to have someone launch you. you need to stand in the road there to launch. people kite the same wind in victoria.
