does anyone know of any nice resorts on the coast? It seems like almost all of the "resorts" were built and furnished in the 80's and have not been updated since. Looking for a place to crash with the wife and be pampered.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
B. |

On the North Coast in Cannon beach either the Stephanie Inn or the Ocean Lodge are the class acts of the area.Halfway between manzannita and Sunset beach for you and the town/shops are real close. The Cannery pier hotel in Astoria is new and very nice with a spa onsite. All of these have passed review with my wife and visiting parents. |

The Elliot in downtown Astoria is a really nice place to bring a girl.
If you like wine there is a nice wine bar in the basement (part of the old underground city of Astoria). |

My friend owns the Oregon Coast Inn B&B: http://www.oregoncoastinn.com
Its a really cool place in Lincoln City, she does a great job with the pamper factor (her cookies are awesome.) Plus you aren't far from kiting spots on the coast (Newport isn't far, or you can kite right in LC.) |
