What should HR waterfront look like?

Come one, come all to a waterfront planning meeting for the Port of Hood River at 6 p.m. Wednesday night at the Expo Center.

The port has some major developments on the way and wants to include the public in how the Hood River waterfront should look.

Group Mackenzie will present drawings on ideas for the industrial core, the area west of Second Street and south of Portway Avenue.

The area is buzzing with future development including adapting the Hood River Expo Center for use by Da Kine Hawaii, rezoning of the Nichols Boat Works and the recent sale of the Jantzen building.

Those who attend can hear about activities but also weigh in with their opinions.

This meeting is about industrial/business development on the waterfront south of Portway Avenue. You are welcome to come and "see" and offer input about the plan for land that is zoned "light industrial" and where we are negoating with DaKine and various other business. It is not about the LOT 6 park which is owned by the City of Hood River.

Is lot 6 still up for decision? What would the chances be for development into another grassy spot for kiters? If so, what kind of work/process is needed.
thanks
Mark

That is/are the plans for what is called Lot 6

Lot 6 is the designation that the port uses/used before it was donated to the City of Hood River

Those links are the proposed plan for that area

Thanks for the clarification. Just so I am clear... is this the land directly to the west of the event site?
