If you read this, what would you think?
Q: What is the warranty policy for DAKINE products?
A: DAKINE products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
I just found out that "Limited" = 1 year.... so basically, the lifetime of a harness is 1 year? Does that sound about right?
I just broke mine and was debating on fixing it vs. just buying a new one. I have gotten a little over 1 year of real kiting on it. |

Dakine really stays behind their products, its a great company from a customer support perspective. If you take your harness to the HQ in hood river, I bet they will give you a new one. It takes a few days because their distribution center is in The Dalles I believe and they don't stock much product in HR. They have replaced my harness twice, no questions asked. |

sweet... btw, i wasn't picking on dakine, it's been a good harness. I was just curious about harness lifetime, and warranties in general.
maybe i'll try to drop by... tough because it's in HR, but who knows. |

DaKine will replace, or fix it pretty much no questions asked: Patagonia type customer service, with Campmor-like prices.

Dakine rocks they will warranty anything that deserves that attention.
That being said, I would say the lifetime of a harness is two years max if you really get out and use it. One year if hard riding may be the safe replacement time though.
I know I have been replacing my spreader bar every year after some breakages (ss surefire not a fixed spreader) |

thought this deserved a follow up.
stopped in Dakine yesterday... they are fixing my harness for free, and gave me one to ride/test out yesterday as a replacement... pretty sweet. |

Yep, I've never experienced customer service as good as Dakine's. They fixed my Fusion twice and replaced it once back in the day. Rock on! |
