Anyone try the Ocean Rodeo Session? I just recieved one in the mail and I'm not sure I like it enough to keep it considering the price. I like the integrated handlepass leash and knife pocket and the idea that it can be worn with or without leg straps. My only complaint is the way the bar mounts. You have to rethread it every time you put it on and it flexes up and down very easily. I have been using a Fusion seat harness for some time now and really like that it can't ride up. The Nitrous shorts look OK but not sold on them. Lots of folks use the Dakine Tabu- it seems solid but no integrated handlepass leash or even a knife pocket. Any suggestions....thanks.

I am on my second season with the Session, in general I like it.

Pro's:

versatile, especially if you buy the shorts, you can use as waist or seat style, but more comfortable than other seat harnesses.

I basically always use it with the straps and shorts and it is comfortable.

Con's:

You're right about the spreader bar, it is hard to get the straps tight enough to keep it from pulling away from your body and pivoting up.

The spreader bar pad is not the best in my opinion, it is hard to keep it centered behind the bar, it seems to either want to roll up or roll down. I am going to replace mine with a da kine pad.

Note: I also bought a different spreader bar with a release so you don't have to thread it every time. Works well, and saves a few minutes.

Hope this is helpful.
