Is there any issues or concerns strapping a board with a big foil on the roof and driving longer distances at highway speeds?

The obvious concerns are tree limbs, low clearance overpasses, power and tele lines, and the list goes on forever. Always have to be looking up and remembering the foil is way up there.

Beyond the obvious you definitely get some weird looks from others on the highways.

Shocked

The solution was easy, wish I'd thought of it earlier.

Fortunately. The bolts between mounting plate and the mast failed first and minimized damage to the car. One bolt head popped off and the other bent back but was able to get it out and somehow the threads seems OK.

The trailing edge of the mast got tweaked but it might be salvageable if I can get the other headless bolt out without damaging the threads.

PS - Another reminder tip I got was to hide your handheld remote say under the seat when you leave. When you reach for it on the visor and remember that you stashed it, you'll remember why. Mines built in so I need the sawhorse. Thumb's Up

HA!

Dang, that Winger song is "weak sauce" for sure. The band spent way more time on their groomed unshaven facial hair look and or course their big mop-top that looks like lion's mane. Weak lyrics and accompanying music.

Listening to it immediately caused me runny diarrhea within me.

A quick remedy was to play some real METAL to firm things up in my insides:

I think TravisBickleRex would approve and probably suggest even a better selection of bone-crushing METAL.

STORMRIDER I hope you were joking? If not, kind of a shot across the bow. . .

Personally, as long as people on the water are being courteous and safe around other folks on the water, I could care less what they are riding on--that includes if someone is riding your mother. Razz Laughing

Smash your cresting swell faces, smile, give the SHAKA to water users nearby, and move on the next wave face.

As a wise man once said, "all I need is some tasty waves, cool buzz--and I'm fine!"

I think Kreamer said it first?!
