Sat Jul 23, 05 9:13 am North coast is blowing |

It is 10 am and it is already starting to cap on the ocean.
It is sunny, beautiful, waves are about shoulder high and should build to head high with the wind.
Forecast says 10 mph today but they are always at least 10mph under.
It looks perfect today.
Get in your car and get over here.
Why ride in a muddy river when you can ride waves?
Surfkiting is the future in Oregon. |

Thanks for the invite, NW,
Hmmm waves you say? I think I'll pack up all my Gorgeitude in my Lexus SUV and park it next to the Mississippi, I mean Columbia, and rent a rusted out combi and start heading west. I've got a shorty, will that be enough? I might have some flesh eating virus tagging along too...hope you don't mind.
See you on the water, ol' salt.
We'd rather ride glassy faces and smack big lips.
Than sail on a river with barges and ships! |

Yes! Some of the guys from Seattle I was with on Sat at Newport hit nice 10m-12m stuff at Manzanita on Sun.
I also waited at the S Jetty all day, that was me and my friend Jon on the green Rhino and the surfboard that suckered every one out. The S Jetty was a bummer yesterday, good forecast, good AM numbers but I shoulda known better than to wait all day.... but it just seemed like it was about to go. |
