this just came in the mail... kind of a surprise, didn't really know it was coming... but am going to check it out tomorrow out east...not sure where yet, but will try to post... come out if you want to try it... bring some snowboard boots.

the whole Tbar/fuselage used to be one piece, which made it hard to travel with. With the bolt through tbar now, it's pretty easy to fit right into a board bag

PS... my wife looks pretty excited about it huh? Smile

actually, it's a demo ski from CompTech Marine (Owners of SkySki). I don't know the cost, but the website is CTMFoilfboards.com. I think they are a few weeks out from production.

today the wind was too light to get out on it, of course it picked up after I decided to leave. if you weren't down in Hawaii, I'd offer you a ride on it. First impressions...it's pretty heavy... i don't know about hauling it down every time... maybe on special occasions. I'm thinking about molding all the parts of the foil assy and making them carbon...see what kind of weight savings I can get.

i think it will be a blast...just need to figure out the whole "mount while flying the kite" thing.

It looks pretty / nice. Although very different from the boards I have seen here. As far as I know most people use it as an occasional board, but everyone I have been in contact with recommend going out on a boat before using it with a kite.

There has also been a lot of development on the foils lately. A friend of mine used his to tow into ocean swells...before they become the giants you see at jaws...

For me I could take it occasionally on boat, but normally it would be kiting. Looks nice, keep us updated on how it works...I am still eyeing a board like that...

I've seen those types of boards on videos but never in real life. I can't wait to see it.

That thing looks pretty damn cool - I'm sure you'll be thowin' down some sick stuff with it soon. Peter Trow is showing off his foilboard in the April issue of the Kiteboarder. - Chris

I don't even want to know what happens when you get sucked over the falls.

yep ...those are rush randle models.... the foil is the same, but rush makes his own board....this board was designed because some of the rush boards have been breaking.

i may have to recruit someone to bring the kite out to me after i get in to the bindings. I'm going to try it one more time solo, but it's a lot to do at once!
