Given the announcement by iKitesurf that the pager will be discontinued in May, I'll be checking with Cingular/AT&T shortly about cell wireless web to access the wind info.

Q: Since I'm currently on a fairly low-end cell plan (which likely does not include wireless web access) I will be asking Cingular/AT&T about their wireless web plans. I'm wondering if anyone has tips on which plan to get, how much to expect to pay, etc?

I currently pay about $42/month for cell service through Cingular/AT&T without a wireless web plan.

I understand that iKitesurf doesn't charge anything extra $ for using the wireless web.

Just point your phone's web browser at http://wap.ikitesurf.com. It doesnt' cost any additional money from ikitesurf, but make sure you have a mobile web plan on your phone, because I'm sure they'll charge you a decent amount per kilobyte otherwise.

Just p/u the basic 1mb plan from Cingular and plug in the .wap that Forrest noted. Plug in all the sensors from the main site online that you want to track on your phone and your set. Then you will wonder why you ever bothered with the pager in the first place. Wink

Thanks. I'll check-out the basic wireless plan.

Does anyone know if pressure gradients are accessible by cell wireless web?
