				| I'll be spending a fair amount of time in Nehalem this winter and spring and was hoping to get some insight on kiting the bay. Any feedback would be much appreciated. _________________

				| we just kite in the ocean - usually better wind - always fun in the waves no matter how messy
some of the crew mess around in the bay - low tide might be better on a skimboard than foil

respect the inlet - not fun swimming around out there
  - wind does weird things going from the north jetty to south jetty _________________

You know the search function works wonders. . . .

That said, PM macgruber, as he is quite versed kiting in the Nehalem Bay, as well as the ocean around there.

Here is a good Manzo post:

				| I used to windsurf there quite a bit back in the day. Always launched from the public boat ramp on out-going tide with south winds. When everything is lined up, its a good winter break.
Be aware of weather systems coming from the south. Wind can zoom to 40+ in short order. I've also kited there, but migrated to Seaside up around the entrance to the Nacanicum on south winds.
