I have one of those WMFG pumps from
Wind dance. It was great until it wasn’t. Can’t inflate anything now. Are they fixable or trash?

I love the part about durable hoses... everything's relative I guess.

Been hearing a lot of squeaky pumps at the event site. Those older pumps need to be greased from time to time with silicone lube.

Higher PSI kites and hotter temps this summer can do a lot of wear and tear on a pump.

Wish more people followed your advice on the pump lubing.

*For hoses, everyone just needs to remember to remove the hose from their pump when not using it. Leaving the hose on is a sure sign that it will crack or crease 3-5" from the top connection end.

My Slingshot KimK pump had been working great for years but the other day I was pumping up and I could hear air blowing out of the pump during the downstroke.

Turns out it was the O-ring for the pressure gauge. I unscrewed the pressure gauge and pulled the O-ring out away from the threads a bit and screwed it back on and it works fine again.

This thread inspired me to open up my pump. Holy sh!t there is a lot of sand in there. Any recs on what type of grease to use or will any old silicone grease from Home Depot do?

I'm just going to answer my own question in case someone else comes along looking. I called WMFG and they told me to use any general purpose white lithium grease.

Seems like the gaskets aren't in stock anywhere. I had to rip the shaft seal out at beach yesterday just to get it unlocked ,still works without the gasket !
