I got in a great session up on the island, and got some photos on the drift west. (Pardon the phone camera pics.)

Nice shots, looks like it was a pretty good time. If the forecast holds true, looks like tomorrow maybe a repeat.

Slither: two different types of hot. I run cold and I wore a 1m mil white long armed rash guard for a top for sun protection and board shorts. The water was so refreshing. The air was so warm near the beach/shoreline it kinda f*cked up the flow near-shore. Much better about 1/3rd out to the shipping channel. Light winds for RR standards, but the wind was so smooth and buttery (12m -10m wind). We were the only ones doing a dwer from Dalton. 10m and surfboard was a bit light, 10m and foil just right, and a TT and 12m powered plenty.
So thankful the Wind Gods provided us a session!!!!

You could have someone wade out with you past the pier and help you launch. The water was up to the stair yesterday. We did a dw'er from Dalton to the steps right by the ranger's station. We dropped the kites behind the pier and pulled them in.
Most who kited slogged the flooded Viet-Schlong bushed paths and made their way up to the sandy and tree free lagoon that divides Sand Island from the mainland. Some boats and Seadoos too from Camas, the boat launch at the park, and from Dalton boat launch.
Very colorful at the sandy lagoon. All shapes, sizes, sexes, both clothed and nude. . . cooling times had by all!
