Should I take rock skis this week or is there decent coverage already?

This is the year I decided it was time to sell off my old rock skis, so I have been skiing my new skis with no issues.
Coverage is really good for pre-Christmas. The top of the mountain is a little scoured off in spots by wind, and on the lower parts of HRM you still have to watch out for the willows on willow, etc. I can understand why they do need more snow in order to open Heather and PR after the rain they got at lower elevations.

Thanks Hilton!

Last year I thought we had plenty of snow for Heather and PR and asked a patroller about it. He said there has to be enough snow to build up the snow bridges required to get emergency vehicles in there.

Wow, that’s unfortunate but I’m glad they got him out. I hope he is ok and not injured!

Any more info on it, did he have a beacon?
