My Dad nearly died of polio back around '55 and was early to get Salk's vaccine.

Meanwhile in California, (most) beaches are open and kiteboarding is officially allowed as "healthy exercise": https://covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs

The only problem remains that most parking lots are still blocked off. :(

Govenor Newsom just closed Orange county beaches starting may 1st due to the volume of people at the beaches.

While I agree and look forward to kiteboarding as a "healthy exercise" again some day (soon!!!) I think California provides a good reminder for us that things can get shut down if we push too much.

Finding a balance between safety vs freedom is important.
