Anybody ever kited there, or anywhere else on the east side of India? Friends moving there... may have to visit.

There will be other opinions but for me I would not kite near any city or even town there. I am not making a judgement of anyone but the water is fouled with human waste. It is what it is ,I was there in 2012 .At dusk they defecate at the tide line for the next high tide.Hopefully overnight .Be careful walking the beach at night enjoying the stars .

I'm going to have to agree with RightCoast here. Been to India a bunch of times and I'm not a fan of the culture. There is not even a little tiny effort to prevent pollution of the water or the air. We were warned not to even put a foot in the water in Mumbai, as such a move could prove fatal. Seriously. That said, I never visited the East coast.

I won't even get into the verbal harassment and physical threats I endured--for trying to help a few children get a decent meal for once in their little live's. No, I'm not a fan of the culture.

Seriously, some parts of the world are still in such a bad shape. Physically and morally. So important to realize on Thanksgiving Day how thankful we all should be to have the honor to live in one of the best countries of the world. Maybe the best, no matter some of America's own keep spitting on it. I feel definitely blessed. If I just could have back my plastic shopping bags and straws.

I couldn't have said it better. But it would be more beautiful, though less accurate, without that last sentence.

I'm thankful that some of you have the right to pollute a kitesurfing forum with your political pettiness. Can't do that on NKkite (North Korea) without spending some time in the gulag. Rolling Eyes
