Dates are set, sponsors are in, things are in motion. This year looks like:

Friday July 19th: 18 and under youth Bridge of the Gods freestyle competition in Stevenson WA. Registration is from 10-11am. There will be an 18 and under as well as a mini Groms division at 13 or 14 and under (depending on the age of the riders.) Awards will happen immediately after the last heat, no later then 5pm.

Saturday July 20th: The Blowout. This will be the best Blowout in ages as Rachel and I have spent most of our time working on this event. We have bigger prizes then ever before and will be giving them away not in correlation with how you placed. For a brand new board, how many Jelly Beans are in this jar? The race starts in Stevenson WA with registration from 9-10am. Please don't be late. The finish line will be in Hood River and we will have the awards ASAP following the race at the Marina. Everyone will randomly be placed on a team of 4. No you can't pick your team. It is advised to carpool from Hood River. Use this fourm to meet up and or look at the Facebook page. Any questions just ask. See ya there.

Sunday July 21st: Back up wind day. If there's no wind on Friday the youth will move to Saturday and the Blowout will move to Sunday.

Long range GFS forecast is predicting East wind for Saturday/Sunday.

Hmmmm.... 10day forecast is showing westerly winds all week through next weekend.

I'd probably hold tight on the forecast claims until we're closer to Friday.

I agree long term forecasts often move, however Sat,Sun still appear to have challenges for the blowout.

This Saturday is looking like it wont happen. However this is in the only event that can be postponed a week. Unless the model changes the Blowout will be moved one week to July 27th or 28th. We are sorry to those that cannot make it. The youth BOTG will still happen this Friday.

Ok so after talking to our friends in Canada we've decided to push back the Blowout until the weekend of August 3-4. This allows anyone that wants to do both events the option. Again the Youth Freestyle is still a go for tomorrow. Thanks
