anyone know this guy? semis were hitting brakes and pedestrians had to dodge out into traffic. He saw the signs 'cos he tried parking front in first and then backed out into traffic to turn around. When i walked back up he'd left his truck parked like this.....

It’s the crazy season. We need to police this site ourselves. I have info flyers that I put on numbskulls windshields to help educate the masses. If the State Patrol comes by he will get a ticket. It is sad that one idiot will be responsible for the loss of this site.

On a side note, we have minimal real estate for launching this year. The bar is half the size it was last year and migrated east. .... so my request is to pack up your gear and lines as soon as you come in, don’t leave your inflated kite on the beach and go take a break in your car. Also bring your foils up against the rocks so they aren’t popping landing kites. Thank you for self policing this site, loosing it would be a travesty!

We had our first 2019 wreck at the Wunderbar today, July 13. Don’t know the details but messed up traffic for a while, one car towed away and the other was able to drive away. The State Patrol is watching the s___ show there pretty closely, along with BNSF. Don’t be afraid to speak up when you see the inept and uneducated arrive and create hazards.

I heard and then saw a Fender bender a couple weekends ago. A mini van pulled out of the Underwood rd and clipped a car that was west bound on 14. Minor damage on both.

There’s a lot going on with weekend traffic, lots of distractions. Be patient and have a plan to park. There’s tons of room to get turned around and scope out traffic west of the winery on the south side of the hyway.

If you’ve got a long rig, like mine, there’s no use trying to jam it in. I just park further down at a shallow angle and walk a bit further. Because I’ve already gotten the note on the windshield from CGWA.

Still, we do pretty good on parking. It’s the kids on the railroad bridge, and tourists on the tracks that will blow it with the railroad.
