Doing some spring cleaning and have two old wetsuits that I don't use anymore and would like to recycle (or donate). Does anyone know of a good place to do that?

Great question!

If they are not in too bad of shape and can be useful, either give them to someone who will be at one of the upcoming swap meets selling gear (selling gear as I think it costs a nominal fee to do so) up in HR or to someone looking around and in the market for a suit. I think Winddance has them from time-to-time this time of the season.

I was googling the topic and found some options, most require shipping it though since they're not local:

Do you ever go to Mexico? Almost yearly I take a few wetsuits to our village where local fisherman are very happy to see me again.

I went twice to LV but didn't think of bringing my old stuff to donate.
Not planning to travel there anytime soon though.

Some of the schools in our coastal communities (e.g. Newport) have surf clubs/teams, and they gladly welcome used suit donations. Surely there are some teachers who wind-johnny and/or surf around your homebreak... Very Happy

Old wetsuits make great foil covers. Cut out the zipper and shorten the legs and arms, and the torso fits over the fuselage. Use the leftover leg bits as mast covers and the arm bits as beer coozies.
