So sorry about this. Will definitely keep my eyes open. If the thief has half a brain, they'd realize the only way to sell these without getting jumped is ebay. If we do see an item, it may be worth buying one just to get info about the thiefs sending address. Stay positive, they'll show up.

This was a sophisticated heist as they entered through a vacant unit adjacent to ours. They cut the wall away and took everything through the opening. Luckily they couldn’t fit the 9-6 SUP through the hole so at least they left us memento

That is a total bummer. Those thieves deserve no sympathy and a long stay behind bars. I hope you get your goods back at some point.

Sad

Sorry Mike, that's a suckers punch for sure. I ride Doyle Customs as well and will be looking out for your 2 missing gems.

Also, set up alerts for name and key descriptions in Craigslist.

Sorry to learn of this. What a major hassle and violation!

I hope you catch the person or persons responsible. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks for the support everyone!

I realized one important fact to share is that these kites were all in ride engine and Dakine compression bags. Two black ride engine and one red Dakine and one grey Dakine compression bags. Everything was packed for an upcoming trip so the gear will be loose and/or in compression bag, NOT the Slingshot bag.

The bikes were broken down and packed in the Dakine roller bags.

Assume whomever has these might not know what exactly they have or how to sell them. It seems they are letting the goods cool off or have taken them out of the area. Nothing has popped up thus far. Approximate date of theft is between 9-16 March.

I assume local shop owners are keen to this post as well, and police are also circulating this list.

Again, thanks to all!

You can use https://www.searchtempest.com/ to search all of craigslist at once. I have found it to be very effective for national searches. After you have set the parameters of search, use the Open all button.

I feel your pain. Years ago I came back to my van after an afternoon session and found the largest side window broken and all the kite gear I had in it stolen. The meth heads brought it to a surf shop in Portland several months later and tried to sell it there. Unfortunately for them that was the shop I bought it at. They got busted including the young woman sitting in their trash van outside who was just nursing her baby while completely high. I've never seen anything more sad. They all got booked into a jail and I hope the baby ended up living with someone better. I hope you guys had an insurance like I did at that point. If not I really feel your pain.

That really sucks, hope they catch the dirtbags and you get your gear back.

Maybe post / keep an eye on pinkbike.com. They have a pretty large classified section, and a stolen section.

I had my shed here in our Tacoma WA back yard cleaned out of all kite gear many years ago. The Tacoma Police Dept would not even talk to me unless I had serial numbers from all stolen goods. And this after I showed them several images of my exact gear photo'ed on some shithole's eBay auction.

I have helped several friends get their stolen kayaks back over the years and learned you must have detailed information on the items stolen. To that end, I document all my equipment with photos, photos of tags, scanned retail receipts and incorporate that into one pdf. It took a little time to put together but, that offers me a piece of mind while traveling and home. It is a shame, I must do this, just to get back what is mine from thief’s.

Sorry about your gear. I would hope you have renters or homeowners insurance if you have that much gear stolen. I would contact your insurance agent if that much was stolen.....
